BI adoption and lack of adoption is an issue in insurance as well as other industries. Statistics from technology analyst firms estimate that only 10% of enterprise employees in any industries use business intelligence today; in insurance, use is higher but the adoption rate is still less than 20%. These same analysts project that by 2020, 75% of enterprise employees will need to use analytics, in view of the growth of data and the continued evolution of businesses becoming more data driven.
