Overview

We love our tools! Each job eventually comes up with a set of tools that define the job (Figure 3-1). In medieval Europe, for example, tradesmen and merchants formed guilds that defined trades and crafts for centuries. Coats of arms of these organizations typically included tools of the trade. If we were to form a guild of data scientists, our coat of arms would include many tools: languages like Python, libraries for deep learning and modeling like PyTorch or Keras, computer vision libraries like OpenCV, data processing libraries, tools for visualization, model ...
