A2.1 HAND CALCULATION OF THE MULTIPLE REGRESSION/CORRELATION PROBLEM
Although most practitioners of MRC analysis are likely to turn over the necessary work to a computer program, it is quite possible to perform these operations with a hand calculator. The major problems in doing so are the many opportunities for error and the amount of time required, both of which increase rapidly as a function of n and k.
