Position within DFSS Flow
A vital focus of Six Sigma is to focus. For problem solving, this corresponds to focusing on a vital few within the DMAIC flow. For developing new products, the product team must be cognizant of all requirements; but to differentiate the product, manage risks, and ensure a successful new product launch, the team must focus on a vital few, measurable requirements, which are referred to as critical parameters.
