Chapter 10 discussed the flow-down of requirements, including the flow-down from system requirements to hardware and software requirements. However, requirements often change during the course of development—software requirements seem to be notoriously unstable in this respect. The intent of this chapter is not to teach Agile or even provide a step-by-step process for Agile methods—these are clearly beyond the scope of this book, and an argument can be made that Agile methods are only really learned by experience. Instead, the intent of this chapter is to discuss the combination of software DFSS with Agile methods.
