19. Verification of Supply Chain Readiness

Position within DFSS Flow

The last stage of the DFSS flow is verification of the readiness of the supply chain to deliver the product dependably—that is, to start the product launch on time to the updated schedule, to meet customer expectations in terms of quantities and timing of deliveries (allowing for some anticipated flexibility in terms of potential up side), and to have high confidence that the supply chain will be able to consistently provide products and respond quickly and acceptably in the face of perturbations and problems.

This step and set of deliverables is aligned with the latter part of the Verify phase of the DFSS process. The DFSS flowchart, available for download at http://www.sigmaexperts.com/dfss/ ...
