There is a saying that “history is about things that didn’t happen written by people who weren’t there”. In this chapter, I will be trying to avoid this criticism by attempting as much as possible to describe events that did happen and I was there to witness them. My background is in science. Those of us who have specialized in some area of knowledge have the obligation to convey aspects of that knowledge in an easily assimilated form.
