Lesson 10 Advancing Your Workflow

GOALS

  • Identify manual options for new projects
  • Synchronize dual system recordings
  • Create a chroma key
  • Understand the multicam workflow

Regardless of the project, every editor follows the same general workflow: import, edit, and share. Source media files are ingested into Final Cut Pro, the edit is made, and the final video is exported. The individual workflow tasks or sub-workflow during each phase may vary depending on the project and the client. Furthermore, those three “big picture” workflow phases may be assigned across a team of 20 collaborators, or fully completed by only one person.
