8TWO BALLISTIC CHRONOGRAPHS
This project is a device for measuring the velocity of a projectile. It originally measured the velocity of pellets from air-soft and paintball guns, and it evolved to be capable of measuring projectile velocities from BB and pellet guns before finally measuring velocities of over 3,000 feet per second (fps) from higher-powered weapons. The main intention of this project is not to measure the velocities of traditional fire-arms, but this project does have that capability, and the end of this chapter describes how to use it to measure the velocity of a 9 mm bullet.
