Piano Tie

This project was inspired by an idea from my former students. They never finished the project, but later I found a blog post by Maureen Grants demonstrating her version of a soft-circuit musical tie (see the video at http://vimeo.com/15083685). The project takes the concept of a vintage piano tie and turns it into reality.

By making your own electrical piano tie, you will learn how to control inputs in the form of soft push buttons made from conductive fabric, and an output in the form of sound from your Arduino board. You will also learn the basics of computer-generated sound, as well as new commands and methods for writing sketches for your Arduino board.
