Abstract

Smartphones have become ubiquitous in modern society, providing a versatile platform for a wide range of applications. In recent years, smartphones have emerged as powerful tools for biomedical applications due to their compactness, affordability, connectivity, and rich sensor capabilities. This paper provides an overview of the rapid advancements in utilizing smartphones as sensors for various biomedical applications, highlighting their potential to revolutionize healthcare. Smartphonebased sensors provide the ability to collect, process, and transmit a variety of biomedical data in real time. These sensors use integrated technologies such as cameras, accelerometers, gyroscopes, GPS, and microphones to measure important signs, detect diseases, monitor health conditions, and facilitate point-of-care diagnostics.
