Abstract

With the large amount of data growing these days, every individual, companies, domains and many more are in the need for a proper and more secure system. All though there are already many ways to protect our data and secure them, there is still something missing in them. Every intruder trying to steal our personal data and information comes up with various ideas to break into the security system which is protecting our data. But in the recent days homomorphic encryption plays a significant role in protecting the data by performing encryption on the cipher text itself. A much more secured way for securing our data than usual homomorphic encryption is lattice-based homomorphic encryption. This paper aims to give a detailed and a very clear view on how this lattice-based homomorphic encryption works and its uses. In addition, this paper also aims to discuss the applications which use lattice-based homomorphic encryption and their significance in the recent growing domains of protecting or securing large amount of data from unauthorized break-in and destruction.
