In our quest to build intelligent machines, we are attempting to build capabilities that match and for the most part mimic the human brain and the sensory organs. There are five senses and primary organs corresponding to each through which we perceive this world. The goal of cognitive science is to build these sensory capabilities in intelligent machines so that the interactions with them are natural and seamless:

  • Vision: To see the objects, understand their position in three primary dimensions, and also their movement along with time as the fourth dimension.
