The primary goal for Cognitive Systems is to complement human capabilities and augment those for overall benefit and betterment of human society by helping to solve some of the problems (effective and accurate diagnosis of some diseases, autonomous and self-driving cars, decoding human DNA, and so on) that are faced by the human race.
