Abstract
Since the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak, social media becomes a key means for information generation and dissemination about the pandemic. This resulted in an “epidemic” of information with a huge amount of COVID-19 data spreading in real time over social networks, a phenomenon often referred to as a “digital infodemic.” Understanding, analyzing, and exploiting such data could provide crucial support to medical and government institutions to fight the pandemics.
