It’s an unfortunate fact of life that some of the projects that you’ll work on will be late. Some of them will be very late. Even with the best attempts at planning, deadlines seem to mysteriously pass with no obvious reason why the code wasn’t ready. Post mortem reviews might reveal some things that perhaps could have been done better, but it can be a struggle to work out where the time went.
