Configuring Your Application

Before ASP.NET, moving an ASP application from a testing environment to a production server was typically the most difficult portion of a project's life cycle. An external DLL would need its own deployment package to handle the appropriate registry entries. The server would need to be restarted. Security settings and policies had to be manually configured.
