3-1. Acquiring the Ideal Developer Hardware
Problem
You are new to Microsoft development and want to know what you need to get started. You are unsure if your current computer will make a good developer machine. If you need to upgrade, how do you justify the cost of this hardware to your management?
Solution
The ideal developer machine has a powerful multicore CPU, fast and abundant disk drives, and copious amounts of RAM; is attached to multiple large flat-screen monitors; and needs a video card powerful enough to drive them.
