Seriously, denial of service is something that you need to be very careful with. Unlike many other chapters in this book, which have focused on how to launch various attacks, this chapter focuses on countermeasures and how to non-destructively test for denial of service conditions.
A denial of service attack is any attempt by an attacker to deny his victim’s access to a resource.
