In an earlier chapter, you learned that the ASVAB is offered in a computerized form, as well as in a paper-and-pencil format. Because the computerized test is administered in a computerized adaptive format, it is known as the CAT-ASVAB. An adaptive test adapts to the ability level of the individual taking the test. In other words, the test tailors itself to the ability level of each individual test-taker. So, the questions you are given could vary from those of the examinee sitting beside you.
