Describing Electricity
Electricity is generated for human consumption by transforming other forms of energy. The main system of generating electricity is by mechanically rotating a magnetic field near a wire resulting in electromagnetic induction and the flow of current. Chemical generation is the transformation of chemical, reactive energy into electricity. Solar generation uses specialized photosensitive cells to transform the sun’s energy into electrical current.
