Safety First

Any discussion of shop information must begin with a discussion about safety precautions. We’ll start with eye protection. Many workshop tools used can send splinters, metal pieces, or even sparks flying. Safety glasses are fine for many operations, but welding requires specialized visors. Ear protection is evaluated with a Noise Reduction Rating (NRR). A higher NRR means the earplug or ear muff offers more protection against louder noises.
