RESKILLING AND UPSKILLING
When speaking with doctors, nurses, and other clinicians, we frequently hear them say that their work is “a calling.” They are proud of their choice to dedicate their skills and talents to serving others through healing the sick and saving lives.
Throughout my career in healthcare, I have found the same passion and commitment from talent development professionals who, as change agents, have a calling to elevate employees’ skills, careers, and economic well-being. We are fortunate to have within our power and skill set the ability to inspire learning and provide the tools and resources to prepare employees with essential skills for the future, keeping them engaged and employable.
