It was late afternoon and the hospital’s newest cohort of nurses was in the home stretch of a long day of nursing orientation. Donna, a seasoned instructional designer, was observing the session. Emmet, an RN and infection control expert, was delivering his portion of the training—a module about exposure to blood.
