So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Manage the Talent Development Function Like a Business
You may be an expert in all things talent development, but today that will not ensure a successful talent development effort.
This chapter presents several valuable management topics and provides ideas about how to manage your TD department. But it in no way is all you need to know. If you are searching for additional resources, I always recommend Lisa Haneberg’s book 10 Steps to Be a Successful Manager as a quick reminder of many of the most important things you should know.
You are a trusted advisor to your leaders, who expect you to run your department like a business—just the way your customers run their lines of business.
