Determine and Demonstrate the Organizational Impact of Talent Development

Learning is a strategic enabler in your organization. That means that you and your talent development team are responsible for showing that TD efforts not only are aligned to the organization’s strategy, but also actually produce a return on the investment. That return on investment could be substantial. Data compiled by the Korn Ferry Institute show that when companies align their talent strategy with their business strategy the results may include a boost in morale, increased productivity, lower turnover, higher customer satisfaction, and better company financial performance (Orr, Gochman, and McGowan 2014).
