# Chapter 27. What's Your \$\$\$ Number?

Everyone has—or should have—a figure in their head that they would need to earn. This is the amount of dollars you need to make every month to be comfortable, feed your family, and pay all of your bills. Don't come up with an inflated number at this point, just a realistic one. I mean really, of course, you want a Ferrari, but is that a realistic goal for this exercise? The answer is no. Instead, base this number off of your needs. For example, you have it figured that you need to earn \$ 10,000 per month to be able to pay all of your bills and take your family on vacation every year. That's a good number, although, it could be lower or higher. It's really up to you. For this exercise, you need to have it in your head or write it down. Got it?

Let's say, for example, your number is \$10,000 per month—great. Apply that number to your list of things you know a lot about and you now have the very basic elements of your short-term plan for making money online. Now it's time to figure out how you're going to get there. That's where all of the strategies and methodologies of making money online will come in.
