Profit Today, Prepare for Tomorrow

One of the more fanciful notions of the audio studio owner, who is probably a former artist, engineer, or producer, is that “If you build it they (the clients) will come.” A silly notion. A recording studio is a business that must make a profit in order to survive, unless the owner is so rich he or she simply doesn't care about making money. A rare occurrence.

This business of recording is a unique combination of the creative understanding of the recording needs of your chosen niche in the music community and technical/equipment know-how balanced with business acumen.
