Chapter 13. Calling Privileges

Calling privileges are an important dial plan component. They are used to implement class of service (CoS), which restricts user calling capabilities. The calling restrictions are based on the calling device. Other applications of CoS include time-of-day call routing, vanity numbers, client matter codes (CMC), forced authorization codes (FAC), and private line automatic ringdown (PLAR).

This chapter describes the configuration tools that are used to implement calling privileges and discusses different usage scenarios.
