Using Tag Labels and Tables
Sometimes, it is better to put all the geometric data for an alignment in a table rather than labeling it right on the alignment itself. This can clear up a cluttered drawing and provide space for other types of annotation. You can accomplish this in Civil 3D by using tag labels and tables.
Creating Tag Labels
A tag label is a special kind of label that assigns a number to a curve, tangent, or spiral. Common examples are C1, S1, or L1 for a curve, spiral, or tangent, respectively. Tag labels can be created ahead of time if you know you're going to use a table, or you can convert “regular” labels to tag labels on the fly.
