The 3ds Max Interface

This chapter explains the Autodesk® 3ds Max® software interface and its basic operation. You can use this chapter as a reference as you work through the rest of this book, although the following chapters and their exercises will orient you to the 3ds Max user interface (UI) quickly. It’s important to be in front of your computer when you read this chapter, so you can try out the techniques as we discuss.
