Chapter 9

Character Poly Modeling: Part III

Finishing elements are critical to the veracity of a model’s design. To make things easier, such elements can be modeled separately and later incorporated into the base model. In this chapter, you will finish the model of the special operations soldier you started in Chapter 7, “Character Poly Modeling: Part I.” To do that, you will model the head shape, merge the head shape with elements such as goggles and a face mask, and integrate them into the scene.

Topics in this chapter include the following:

  • Creating the head
  • Merging and attaching the head’s accessories
