Manage How the Active Directory Service Is Provided
In this section, we'll discuss the steps needed to deploy and configure the AD service on your network. Providing this service consists of deploying at least one DC in each domain, or more to provide high availability and better performance for geographically dispersed users.
We'll begin by describing the steps needed to deploy individual AD DCs, both writeable DCs and read-only DCs. This includes installing DCs using the dcpromo process, which may be customized depending on the installations scenario: creating a new domain, adding an additional DC to an existing domain, or customizing other parameters of the DC installation. We'll also describe how to remove a DC from an AD domain.
