When one of this book's authors was in high school, he got his first part-time job keeping some of the school's computers running. He loved it. He did everything by hand. And because the school had only two or three computers, doing everything by hand wasn't a big issue. But even then, as the number of systems grew to five, six, and finally more than ten, he realized just how much time you can spend doing the same things over and over again.
