Configure Claims Mode Authentication
Whether or not to configure a Web Application to use Claims-Based Authentication is an architecture decision that requires thought and planning. From the perspective of the user interface, it is simply a radio button that toggles a few features. However, there are some underlying differences between how SharePoint works as a product based on this choice. While Claims-Based Authentication offers some incredible flexibility, not all pieces of SharePoint are Claims-compatible.
