Configure Caching Options

SharePoint has several different caching mechanisms. These caching options include page output caching, object caching, and binary large object (BLOB) caching. In this section, we will review how to configure these different cache types using the SharePoint API and Windows PowerShell. It is important to understand that these caching options are only available when the Publishing Infrastructure Feature is activated. This means that you must have at least SharePoint 2010 Standard edition installed because the feature is not available with SharePoint 2010 Foundation.
