- Confirm that Route 53 supports the TLD; you can get a list of the supported TLD's here: http://docs.aws.amazon.com/Route53/latest/DeveloperGuide/registrar-tld-list.html.
- Transfer the DNS:
- Create a Route 53 hosted zone to get the name server details.
- Create all the resource record sets in a newly created hosted zone.
- Change the settings with your current registrar (this process can differ with different registrars).
- Unlock the domain.
- Disable privacy protection from the domain.
- Get an authorization code.
- Disable DNSSEC for the domain.
- Check your contact information with the current registrar.
- Request the transfer:
- Log in to the AWS console and select Route 53.
- Navigate to domain registration and click on Get started ...
