MULTIMETERS
While there are many specialized measuring instruments, routine measurement of Volts, Amps, Ohms, and their fractions, is conveniently done with a multimeter, ranging in value from twenty dollars for a pocket meter, up to several hundred dollars for a portable multimeter of high accuracy.
The choice of a digital or analog meter depends on the functions being measured, and to some extent on the accuracy required.
