132 Backing Up Oracle using Tivoli Storage Management
Figure 31. Editing the client options file
9.5 Generating the encrypted password
Once the client options file is configured, we can now run the aobpswd.exe to
generate an encrypted password in the registry. To do this, we opened a
command prompt and changed to the AgentOBA directory. This executable
asks for the current password, a new password, and confirmation of the new
password (Figure 32).
TDP for Oracle for Windows requires PASSWORDACCESS to be set to
GENERATE. This is unlike TDP for Oracle for UNIX, which requires a
setting of PROMPT.
