Chapter 21. Sweeping Servo
An Electrical Motor Tester
Chapter 3 has an awesome project that changes a servo motor’s angle of rotation based on the orientation of a tilt sensor. In that project, rotating the tilt sensor to either 0° or 90° positions will make the servo motor’s shaft turn CW (clockwise) or CCW (counterclockwise). Also, the tilt sensor, along with the servo motor, can be used to build a simple animatronic controller for robotic puppets.
In this chapter, you can build a cool electrical tester to quickly test the limits of servo motors, such as ones you might find in a local Makerspace’s electrical/mechanical spare parts bin.
