Transition Metals, Lanthanides and Actinides
Elements having partially filled inner d-orbitals [(n − 1)d orbitals] in their atoms or ions are known as transition elements. These elements are d-block elements and are present between s-block and p-block elements in the periodic table. For example, Fe (26)
