7 Technicalities

AUDIO RECORDING

Radio stations rely on different types of recording systems to store interviews and audio and play out programme material. Old analogue equipment such as cartridge players and open-reel tape recorders has been replaced by digital equipment, where audio is recorded direct onto a computer hard disk, which can then be edited, stored, played out and archived.
