engaged, blows can be dodged or dampened by armor. As a result, the
designer might decide to use a Combat Table to come up with vari-
ous results for each attack. e advantage of using such a table is that
the designer can weight the results so that some are more likely to oc-
cur than others because their probabilities are greater (see Table 5.1).
It is possible to create any number of Combat Tables based on how
the algorithm for combat is structured.
