We will now apply the concepts we introduced in the previous chapters to the analysis of two real-world data sets from the life sciences: a protein-signalling data set from which we want to discover the interactions and the pathways characterising some biological processes in human cells, and a medical diagnostic data set which we will use as a basis to predict a human's body composition.
