WORLD TRAVELER

María Sol Escobar was born in Paris, France, to a Venezuelan family. She later changed her name and became known as Marisol. Her family traveled a lot, and she lived between Europe, Venezuela, and the US. Marisol was interested in art early on and would visit many museums during her travels. Sadly, her mother died when Marisol was only eleven years old. Marisol was sent to a boarding school in New York before her family eventually settled in Los Angeles in 1946.
