COMING OF AGE
Bodys Isek Kingelez was a visionary designer, architect, engineer, sculptor, and artist. He was born and grew up in a small village called Kimbembele Ihunga in what is now the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Many social and political changes happened during his lifetime.
Bodys loved calligraphy as a student and later used his beautiful writing in his sculptures. After finishing high school, he moved from his small village to the city of Kinshasa.
