The evolution of your career; can you future-proof it?

There are two distinct elements to future-proofing your career: internal aspects and external aspects.

  • The internal aspects are self-driven: the way your career wants may change and develop and your personal capacity may change as you go through life.
  • The external aspects are driven by others: the way a job, an organisation or an entire industry may change.

As you can imagine, you have a higher degree of personal control and influence over the internal aspects than the external, so we will look at these first.
