Chapter 6. Meeting the Relatives
Your first investment problem is deciding what to buy and how to do so without having to predict anything. You should first find available fundamental and technical data from the immediate past. When that data is combined with the following methods, you are ready to develop a STRACT setup and trigger to buy.
The three principal methods for selecting stocks are Value, Growth, and Price Strength. Value and Growth require accurate company fundamental data for each stock that is in your universe of potential stocks. Price Strength measures how a stock price behaves against its immediate past and requires a history of prices for each stock. If a stock is high versus its immediate past, it is said to have strength.
