Dealing with Integrations
No matter how much we would like companies to use a single platform to do all their work, we know that is unreasonable. Companies have many different applications and platforms that will need to be supported post-Dynamics deployment. As an example, a company might have an existing Unix-based system that they have poured lots of money and effort into keeping available and running. They may look at this system and say “I’ve spent so much money on this; I’m not ready to retire it”. In that case, you’ll have the project requirement to share data that exists in that legacy system.
Of the four areas in a project, integration tends to cause SAs the greatest number of headaches.
