What If Facebook “Wins”?

Reknitting the Pangea of the mind

With a mission as big as Facebook’s, a constant refrain—at least internally—that Facebook’s “journey is only 1% done” and with all of us heads-down in our phones, we don’t think much about what happens if Facebook—for lack of a better word—“wins.”

If they serve a Facebook-sized share of China’s Internet population. If they connect the unconnected, especially in India and Africa, with drones and satellites. If they make video—all our phones will have 3D 360-degree video by 2025—as ubiquitous as photos are today.
